Buildex® Self Drilling Plasterboard Screws
Application
Buildex® Needle Point Plasterboard Screws are designed for fixing plasterboard into timber and thin steel up to 0.6mm, thick walls, ceilings and partitions.
Features and Benefits
- Feature a bugle shaped head which countersinks neatly into plasterboard without crushing the core, or tearing the facepaper.
- Available in a zinc-plated finish.
How to use
Fixing to steel:
- Measure the total thickness of the materials to be fastened.
- Choose a screw long enough that some parallel thread protrudes beyond the steel being fastened to.
- Drive with a #2 Phillips bit fitted to a power screwdriver set to high speed - approx. 2500rpm.
Do not overdrive.
Fixing to timber:
- Measure the total thickness of the materials to be fastened.
- Choose a screw long enough to provide at least 20mm of thread embedment into the timber being fastened to.
- Drive with a #2 Phillips bit fitted to a power screwdriver set to high speed - approx. 2500rpm.
Do not overdrive.
